Facilities & Equipment

The Center for Clean Energy Engineering has access to the distributed laboratory space on campus and to the facilities at our main 16,000 sq ft building. The main building includes dedicated 16,000 sq.ft. consisting of both laboratory and office space. Equipment is available for prototype manufacturing, cell assembly, materials characterization, fuel cell testing and diagnostics. Click on any of the following categories for a listing of some of the applicable pieces of equipment:

The Center for Clean Energy Engineering does provide the capability for some of its equipment to be utilized in a service capacity. Specifically. this capability allows for center faculty, university faculty and external companies to utilize specific pieces of analytical equipment. The first piece of equipment to have approved University of Connecticut rates calculated in this fashion is the Jeol Scanning Electron Microscope. These rates were approved 10/21/2005 and will periodically be reviewed based on usage over time. To access the rates for the JEOL SEM please click here.
