Four short courses were held Sunday, March 7 th at the Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center. These short courses included the following:

SC1/2: History and Technology of PEM Fuel Cell Development and Status of Codes and Standards. Instructors: Trent Molter, Research Scientist and Business Development Officer, Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center and Larry Moulthrop, Proton Energy Systems, Inc.

SC3: Durability: Concepts, Analysis and Prediction for Fuel Cells and Systems. Instructors: Ken Reifsnider, Pratt & Whitney Chair Professor in Design and Reliability and Director of Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center and Xinyu Huang, Assistant Research Professor, Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center.

SC4: Fuel Cell Performance and Characterization. Instructors: James Fenton, Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, and Nigel Sammes, United Technologies Chair Professor in Fuel Cell Technology, Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center, University of Connecticut.

SC5/6: Fuel Cell Systems Engineering and Modeling Methods for PEM and SOFC Analysis. Instructors: Frano Barbir, Professor-in-Residence, Connecticut Global Fuel Cell Center, Wilson Chiu, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Connecticut and Randall Gemmen, Team Leader for Fuel Cell Research, National Energy Technology Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy

The above courses were attended by over fifty interested conference participants from academia and industry.
